A favorite component being featured at the Fun Fest is PNC Bank’s Mobile Learning Adventure. The goal of the PNC Bank project is to take a grassroots approach to spreading awareness of school readiness by sharing fun educational activities with parents and young children aboard their Mobile Learning Adventure., an exhibit including kiosks that tests parents on their early education smarts, and includes a “What I Want To Be When I Grow Up” photo station for kids, that incorporates the latest in green screen technology by digitally superimposing the career of their choice. The Family Fun Fests give parents and preschoolers hands-on experience with activities and tips that demonstrate what parents can do at home to prepare their child for school. Many local agencies will provide information on kindergarten and pre-K registration, literacy and children’s programs in Calvert County. The fun event offers performances by popular children’s entertainers’,free pizza and cookies, giveaways including books, passes to the Calvert Marine Museum and much more! The sixth annual Family Fun Fest events are sponsored by PNC Bank, Target, a Friend of Families and coordinated by Success By 6, Calvert County Public Schools, and the Calvert County Interagency Council for Families and Children.
