Project Match

For the last 26 years, SMECO has asked its customer-members to donate money to Project Match, a fund that helps local families in need of assistance pay their fuel bills. For the 2009-2010 winter season, SMECO will match up to $50,000 in donations.

Make out your tax-deductible check to Project Match and mail your separate check along with your electric bill payment.

The Tri-County Fuel Fund, which is operated by Southern Maryland Tri-County Community Action Committee, administers Project Match.

As of March 9, 2010, we have received $17,684 in donations. Thanks for all your support for local families!
