Board candidate applications are due in May

Eligible cooperative members interested in running in the 2026 election must submit their Board of Directors candidate applications to the Nominating Committee by 4 p.m., May 1, 2026. Nominations by petition are due by 4 p.m., May 21, 2026. In order to serve as a director, you must have been a SMECO member with your name on the account for at least one year.
