Have your heat source serviced annually
Clean or replace filters monthly
Keep your thermostat set at 68 degrees or less in the winter months
Weatherize doors and windows
Keep blinds and curtains open on sunny days to help heat your home
Ensure duct work is sealed and insulated
Insulate your attic, walls, and crawlspace

Set your water heater thermostat between 120 and 125 degrees
Insulate your water heater (check manufacturer recommendations)
