SMECO employees raise $63,000 for local organizations

Your cooperative employees raised $63,000 during the SMECO Annual Charity Golf Outing held in September 2025. The money was donated to three shelters serving Southern Maryland: Lifestyles of Maryland, Inc.—Robert J. Fuller Transitional House of Charles County, Project Echo, Inc. of Calvert County, and Three Oaks Center of St. Mary’s County.

Standard Offer Service rate update

Total residential Standard Offer Service (SOS) rate for December:
$0.103591 per kilowatt-hour (kWh).

• Winter Residential Energy Charge: $0.1060 per kWh
• December Residential PCA: ($0.002409) per kWh

SMECO’s PCA for December was 2.28% less than the current residential base SOS rate.
