Your cooperative is performing service point inspections
Reliability is a top priority. In order to ensure reliability, SMECO employees perform routine inspections of the system to ensure the equipment is in good, working order. The inspection may bring employees onto your property and we want you to know why they are there.
Our goal is to inspect every service point at least once every two years, but we may conduct inspections at any time.
Look for the logo
- Are they wearing a SMECO uniform?
- Do they have a SMECO ID badge?
- Are they wearing a safety vest?
- Are they driving a SMECO vehicle?
If an individual claiming to be a SMECO employee knocks on your door, you can call SMECO at 1-888-440-3311 to verify whether or not the person is an employee of the cooperative.
