Your cooperative is ready

At the beginning of October, team members from across the cooperative participated in a full-scale drill of SMECO’s Comprehensive Emergency Response Plan (CERP). As part of our ongoing commitment to emergency preparedness, this simulated emergency event tests our ability to respond to major incidents that could affect our electric system and members.

While we prefer blue-sky days and no real emergencies, being ready is part of our responsibility to our members and the communities we serve. CERP drills ensure that when the unexpected happens, we are not improvising, we are executing a well-tested plan.
