I completed a redemption order on the Perks Portal. What’s next?

If you selected an online coupon, your coupon will arrive in an email within 2 to 3 days after completing your order. If you selected a bill credit, you should see the credit appear in 1 to 2 bill cycles. If you selected a donation, your donation will be automatically processed, and you’ll receive a confirmation within 2 to 3 days. Please email SMECO Energy Perks with any concerns.

When do my points expire?

Points will expire at the end of the SMECO Energy Perks Pilot Program in 2023 or as program funding allows.

What type of perks can I receive?

You can redeem points for a variety of rewards, including coupons for the SMECO Online Store, energy bill credits, and contributions toward SMECO’s Members Helping Members campaign. Stay tuned for more perks!

Do I need to redeem all my points at once?

Members must have a minimum of 20 points to redeem them on the Perks Portal. You can redeem any points value available at the time of your rewards selection or continue to bank any points left over to keep earning for additional perks.

How do I redeem the points I’ve earned?

Redeem your points in the Perks Portal by clicking the link in any email from the program. When you have earned 20 points or more, you can redeem them for a coupon to SMECO’s Online Store, a SMECO bill credit, or a donation to SMECO’s Members Helping Members campaign–the choice is yours. Points are worth double if you redeem them for an Online Store coupon!

How can I find my points balance and ways to earn?

To see your points balance, check your monthly email statement from EnergyPerks@smeco.coop. New activities will be sent each month for ways to earn more points. Your monthly email statement will also include your unique link to your Perks Portal, where your points balance (earnings and redemptions) will be shown, as well as activities to earn more points.

After I complete an activity, when will I receive my points?

Your participation in the activities will be tracked by program administrators. Please allow 4-6 weeks for processing, however it may only take one week to process in some cases. You can check your Perks Portal at any time to see your points balance. Participating members will receive an email statement each month showing their points balance. Email SMECO Energy Perks with any concerns.

How much will I earn for completing the activities?

Members can earn between 5 and 100 points for each activity. The more activities you complete, the more points you earn. Members can earn over $500 worth of perks. Points values will be displayed in monthly email statements sent to participants. Limited-time offers to earn extra points on activities may also be sent to your email.
