The Home Energy Report compares your energy use to the usage patterns of a group of about 100 homes in your area that have similar square footage and heating sources. These comparisons are completely anonymous, and no member’s personal information or individual energy use is released. To ensure we are comparing your data as precisely as possible, please log into the portal and select Your Utility Use at the top, right-hand side of the screen. In the drop-down menu, select Home Energy Analysis and scroll down to answer questions to update your Home Profile with the most accurate information about your home.
Certain circumstances can make it difficult to reduce energy use significantly. Even if your usage remains higher than the average, you should be able to find tips to realize some savings.
Our comparisons include 100 similar, nearby, and occupied homes. Our research shows that this 100-home average is a good indication of typical usage.
