Rider G - Enrollment Form

You can choose to have 100 percent of your electricity from SMECO come from renewable sources.

To sign up for Rider G, go to the online enrollment form below.

When you enroll using the form below, the Rider G rate will be added to your SMECO bill. You’ll start on the rate beginning with your next monthly bill cycle. (Please allow up to five days for processing.)

Members who purchase energy through an alternate supplier are not eligible for SMECO’s Rider G option but there are alternate suppliers who may also provide a 100 percent renewable option or contracts with various levels of renewable energy. Alternate suppliers can be found on the Maryland PSC’s website.

Rider G Enrollment Details:

After SMECO receives your request to enroll in Rider G, your account will be enrolled at the beginning of the next billing period.

The Rider G charge will be added as a line item on your bill.

The Rider G rate will be updated on or about January 1 of each year and whenever significant market pricing changes occur.

You may opt out at any time. Your enrollment will be discontinued at the end of your current billing period. Please allow SMECO five days to process your request.
