Southern Maryland Electric Cooperative has an immediate opening for a Fleet Services Manager. This position directs and implements controls for the addition and replacement of vehicles within the Cooperative Fleet and Motor Pool as well as the Preventive Maintenance Program and repair practices to include: inspection, maintenance, repair and training activities necessary to ensure that all vehicles meet the applicable Federal and State regulations. 

This position requires an individual who is customer-service oriented, strives for continuous process improvement, attentive to detail, an influential leader and is a problem solver. 

Candidates are required to have a two-year college degree or equivalent technical school certificate with emphasis in automotive repair and fleet maintenance management. 

Candidates are required to have a minimum of ten years progressive experience in automotive and heavy equipment fleet maintenance, including a thorough knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, electronic, diagnostic and hydraulic systems and functions. Supervisory/management experience required. 

Starting salary ranges is $98,100-$132,100 annually. SMECO offers an excellent benefits program including a 401k 6% dollar for dollar match and additional 3% non-elective company contribution.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

Education:
