SMECO members now have the option to join our Do Not Transfer list. New consumer protection regulations provide added control for members who wish to protect their electric utility account from being switched to an alternate supplier without their explicit consent.
- Alternate suppliers may not initiate marketing efforts for members on the list
- Placement on the list is indefinite
- Any member on the list can still transfer to an alternate supplier after asking to be removed from our Do Not Transfer list
