Edward Holland

Edward Holland was elected to the SMECO Board of Directors in 2024 as one of the five representatives from Charles County. He serves on the Board's Public Relations Committee. The Pomfret resident is a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and served as a platoon sergeant in Iraq. He worked for the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Bureau of Industry and Security as a unit chief and special agent before his retirement.

In his community, Holland is the state legislative and veteran director for the Maryland chapter of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees and director of the Maryland Military Coalition. Holland was a commissioner on the Charles County Board of Fire and Rescue. He has held leadership positions with many local organizations, including the Fraternal Order of Police, the Charles County Chamber of Commerce, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
