George Heinze represents Charles County on the SMECO Board of Directors. He was elected to the Board in August 2022. He serves on the Public Relations Committee and the Policy, Audit and Budget Committee.
Heinze has owned Pizza Hotline in Charlotte Hall since 1984 and he also owns a real-estate company, Heinze Realty. He has served on the board for his alma mater, St. Mary’s Ryken High School, St. Mary's Bryantown School, and is vice president of the Wicomico Valley Foundation. He graduated from Loyola College in 1984 with a bachelor of science degree. At St. Mary’s Newport Church, Heinze serves on the parish/finance council and teaches Confraternity of Christian Doctrine classes.
