  • March 26 - Breakfast with the Animals, 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Help feed the animals and enjoy a guided tour of the outdoor exhibit area.
  • March 27 - Learn to Lucet, two sessions 11 to 11:30 a.m. and 1 to 1:30 p.m. In a 17th-century world without zippers, cord would have been an essential component to every type of outfit. Join HSMC staff at the town center to try your hand at cordmaking by using a simple but essential handheld tool, the lucet.
  • March 28 - Make a Monkey's Fist Knot, two sessions 11 to 11:30 a.m. and 1 to 1:30 p.m. at the waterfront. While making your monkey’s fist, Maryland Dove crew will inform and demonstrate the traditional purpose of the knot; to serve as a weight at the end of a heaving line.
  • March 29 - Working on a Weir, 1 to 3 p.m. at the Woodland Indian Hamlet. Learn about weirs, an easily constructed fishing trap used by the native peoples of Maryland. Help HSMC staff construct a weir by creating a strand of yucca cordage or grabbing a piece of natural material and weaving it into the weir’s frame.
