Are You In for Summer Energy Savings?
This summer, a group of SMECO households will be randomly selected to participate in the My Energy Target Challenge.* From June 1, 2023 to September 15, 2023, participants will have the opportunity to reduce their energy costs and receive a reward from SMECO. Participating households that reach their energy savings targets and complete the survey will receive an incentive payment of up to $150.
During the challenge, SMECO will check-in with participants. We’ll show them their energy use over time to help them reach their energy-saving targets. If you are selected to participate, you will receive:
- Customized energy reduction targets unique to your home and energy use.
- Progress trackers to show your energy consumption throughout the challenge.
- Energy savings tips to help you save energy and money this summer.
* = No enrollment required. Members who received welcome communications in the form of a postcard and/or an email are automatically enrolled in the program.
