It’s easy to get instant rebates on your heating and cooling upgrades. After contacting an authorized HVAC contractor or distributor, work with them to identify the energy-efficient HVAC system that’s right for your home. After your contractor performs the installation, you’ll see your instant rebate reflected in the contract price.

Equipment installed on or after 1/1/23 must meet the New Efficiency Requirements:

SEER = Seasonal Energy Efficiency Rating: A rating that denotes the efficiency of air conditioning equipment. The higher the SEER, the more efficient the unit and the lower the operating cost.

EER = Energy Efficiency Rating: The ratio of an air conditioning unit’s cooling capacity in British thermal units (Btus) per hour to the total electrical input in watts.

Mini-Split and Ductless Heat Pump

EER = Energy Efficiency Rating: The ratio of an air conditioning unit’s cooling capacity in British thermal units (Btus) per hour to the total electrical input in watts.

COP = Coefficient of Performance: A ratio that measures the efficiency of a heat pump. The higher the number, the more efficient the heat pump.

Inflation Reduction Act

In August 2022, the federal government passed the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), which allocated more than $369 billion over 10 years to several energy efficiency initiatives. Wondering how you can take advantage of these tax credits?

Ask your authorized contractor about highly efficient ENERGY STAR® certified Heat Pump Water Heaters and Air Source Heat Pumps. Both units are super energy efficient and will help you save money over the unit’s lifetime. Combine that with Inflation Reduction Act federal tax credits of 30% of the cost of the Heat Pump Water Heater and/or Air Source Heat Pump (up to $2,000 each) and the savings will continue to pile up.
