
SMECO Honors Outstanding Teachers

The committee will review candidate applications for the five Board positions to be elected this year. Elections will be held to fill one position in Calvert/Anne Arundel counties, one position in Charles County, one position in Prince George’s County, and two positions in St. Mary’s County.
The event challenged more than 150 students from 17 schools throughout Southern Maryland to test their math skills.
Five experienced foremen and former linemen volunteered to help hard-hit Lee County Electric Cooperative (LCEC) rebuild their system and restore electric service.
Receiving donations are Christmas in April, Calvert County; Rebuilding Together Charles County; Christmas in April, St. Mary’s County; and Clements Cuties Foundation.
SMECO held its 84th Annual Meeting on August 25, 2022, at the Mechanicsville Volunteer Fire Department Social Hall in Mechanicsville, MD.
SMECO recently hosted more than a dozen high-school students from the area to help inspire the next generation of women engineers.
SMECO is refunding members’ capital credits totaling nearly $7.1 million.
