Book your home energy analysis with a SMECO Energy Advisor. When you sign up, you can get a $100 instant discount on qualifying smart thermostats and a no-cost installation. Plus, you can get a no-cost HVAC system tune-up.
Step 2. Receive Analysis
During a comprehensive walk-through, your Energy Advisor will use diagnostic tests to specify typical home energy improvements that could reduce your energy use by up to 20%. You could also receive energy-saving measures like LEDs, faucet aerators, efficient-flow showerheads, pipe insulation, and smart power strips installed on the spot.
Step 3. Review Report
Within seven business days, your Energy Advisor will provide a list of customized solutions that highlight the approximate energy savings and pricing for upgrades. You’ll also receive information on SMECO rebates—averaging $3,000—available for one year after your appointment.
Step 4. Select Improvements
Review the recommendations with your Energy Advisor and choose the solutions that make sense for your home and budget. Your Energy Advisor will connect you with an installation contractor, who may schedule an on-site visit to finalize your contract and complete your projects.
Step 5. Complete Upgrades
Schedule the work with your installation contractor. You’ll receive a contract with final costs and guaranteed rebates for the improvements you select. Contractors may require you to submit partial payment before beginning the work and the remaining payment once the project is complete.
Step 6. Enjoy Savings
To ensure customer satisfaction, you may be selected to participate in a quality check or email survey. Share your experience with neighbors, family, and friends to help them save too!

Eligibility notes
To receive the $100 smart thermostat discount, a SMECO-approved installation contractor must purchase and install a Honeywell thermostat. Smart thermostats purchased at retailers or through the SMECO Online Store are not eligible for the HEIP no-cost installation service. Must have central AC or heat pump to qualify for discount. Limit three smart thermostats per household.
For rental properties, the contractor may ask for owner approval before performing program services.
