Identify Energy-Saving Improvements
During a home energy analysis, your Energy Advisor will determine your home’s energy efficiency needs and opportunities. Below are some typical recommended improvements.
1. Seal Air Leaks
Improve your home’s energy efficiency and help your heating and cooling system perform better by sealing air leaks that allow hot or cold air to enter or escape. Learn more about the benefits of air sealing.
2. Add Insulation
Reduce your heating and cooling costs, provide even temperatures throughout your home, and increase comfort in every season by properly installing insulation in your attic, walls, and floors.
3. Seal and Balance Ductwork
Prevent leaky ductwork and poor airflow from causing uneven temperatures and uncomfortable rooms in your home. Seal your ducts, balance the duct system, and insulate ductwork in your attic and crawl spaces.
4. Ensure Proper Ventilation
Keep indoor air pollutants, moisture, and odors from causing health problems, mold, or damage to your home. Rely on your Energy Advisor to work with your installation contractor to determine if your home requires controlled ventilation for health and safety reasons.
